A Message from the Superintendent
Dear Italy ISD Patrons:
On behalf of the Italy Independent School District, I would like
to welcome everyone to our school district's website. Italy ISD strives to
provide every student with the knowledge and skills required to achieve
excellence in all aspects of education. Italy ISD students consistently perform
and compete successfully with students from other school districts in academic
and athletic contests. Our classroom teachers take special pride in the
district's long tradition of success in both academic and athletic University
Interscholastic League contests.
Students in Italy ISD strive to succeed in the classroom and all
extracurricular activities. Teachers and coaches from both campuses work
diligently to help each student experience success. Parents should encourage
their children to become involved in one of the many academic and athletic
programs available to students.
The community support for our school district is tremendous,
making the task of teaching children both pleasant and productive. Parents are
encouraged to visit with the principal of the campus their children attend and
explore opportunities to become involved as a school volunteer. Italy ISD is
proud to have high quality teachers, administrators, and staff members working
in partnership with parents to ensure the success of every student.

Mr. Jimmie Malone
Superintendent

Mr. Malone is a 28 year veteran of the education field. He has worked as a
teacher, coach, principal and superintendent. He has a Bachelor's Degree
from Dallas Baptist College and a Master's Degree from Tarlton State
University. He is the father of 2 grown children.

Ms. Pam Luttrull
Director of Special Programs

Ms. Luttrull has been in education since 1987. She has served as a classroom
teacher, special education teacher, diagnostician, and coordinator. She has
a Master's Degree from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor's Degree from
Hardin-Simmons University. She is married and has 3 sons.

Ms. Sharan Farmer
District Librarian
|
Ms. Farmer has been in education for 20 years. She was a classroom teacher
before becoming our district librarian. She is a graduate of UTA.

Laurice
Marshall
Business Manager
|
Laurice Marshall came to Italy ISD in August
2006 as the district's Business Manager. Laurice has 10 years
experience as a Public School Business Manager. She is a graduate of
Avery High School and will soon be recognized as a Certified Texas School
Business Official by the Texas Association of School Business Officials.
She and her family live in Waxahachie. Her husband, Lynn, is the
Executive Director of Support Services for Waxahachie ISD and her daughter,
Hannah, is a senior at Waxahachie High School. |

Monica Boyd
Superintendent Secretary

Monica Boyd has been in Italy ISD for 13 years. While in Italy, she
has served as elementary secretary and is currently in her 2nd
year as superintendent secretary. Monica is married to Ricky and has 2
children, Ryan and Tyler.

Sam Rountree
Technology Director
|
Sam Rountree has 28 years of educational experience with 11 years in Italy
ISD. While at Italy, he has taught classes and served as the Director of Technology.
Sam received his Masters Degree in Public School Administration from
University of North Texas. He is married to Cindy and has 4 children:
Cash, Chase, Kevyn, & Byron; and 1 grand-child: Layne.

Dana Hamby
PEIMS Coordinator

Dana Hamby has been in Italy ISD for 8 years.
She served as Technology Specialist for 7 years and currently serves as PEIMS Coordinator. Dana graduated from Italy High School and
enjoys being with family and friends. She is married to Chad and has 2
children. Their names are Grant and Jake. |

Maintenance Director

Speed
Hamby is beginning his 2nd year as Maintenance & Transportation
Director and has been in this area for 27 years. He is a graduate of
Southwestern Assemblies of God University with a BA in
Psychology/Counseling. He has 11 + years experience in educational
facilities maintenance. He is married to Bobbie and they have two
children. Their names are Chad and Jason.

Food Director

Sharlene Buzan has been in School Food
Service for 22 years with the past 11 years as Italy ISD's Food Service
Director. Sharlene attended TCJC in Ft. Worth and
completed her Food Service certification. |
