Good day Gladiators!

What an honor and a privilege to be back walking the halls of Italy High School! I am a 1987 graduate of Italy High School, and it is truly my privilege to be joining Italy High School as campus principal. I knew from a very early age that I wanted to be an educator, and I attribute this to the many great teachers that I experienced in Italy ISD.

Before returning home to Italy HS, I have served as Behavior Specialist, Assistant Principal, Principal, Special Education Coordinator, and Assistant Special Education Director in Red Oak ISD and Burleson ISD. I have served alongside many gifted and driven educators, and have taken the opportunity to learn many life lessons from these people I get to call friends.

Probably my greatest strength as an educator is developing relationships with students and families. Students definitely don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care. I want students to graduate from Italy High School and say with a smile that this has been the best time of their life so far. I want students to be confident that they had the BEST of the BEST! I want them to remember GREAT teachers, GREAT friends, GREAT fun, and GREAT accomplishments and opportunities. I want students to be prepared leaders as they walk out of our doors and have skills to prosper whether they go to college, enter the workforce, or enlist in the military. I want them to be the BEST mom, dad, husband or wife that anyone could ask for. I want students to be PROUD of their roots and stand proud to say they are an Italy Gladiator.
