Italy Independent School District 300 College Street Italy, Texas 76651 972-483-1815 Federal Grants Community Information and Input Opportunities Italy ISD will be participating in the following federal programs during the 2025-2026 school year: ● Title 1, Part A: Improving Basic Programs Operated by Local Education Agency ● Title II, Part A: Supporting Effective Instruction ● Title III, Part A: English Language Acquisition ● Title IV, Part A: Student Support and Academic Enrichment ● Perkins V: Strengthening Career and Technical Education ● Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA-B Formula and Preschool) Teachers, paraprofessionals, principals, other school personnel, parents, community members and business representatives are invited to discuss and suggest 2025-2026 activities and provide input into the preparations of the application for funding. The goal is to coordinate and integrate these funding sources and programs into the educational system of Italy ISD. Input will also be received on the draft Title 1, Part A Parent and Family Engagement Policy and the School-Parent Compact. This Friday night we travel to Keene for football. Keene does not have visitor bleachers. The picture included shows the visitor side. People park at the top to watch out of their vehicles, or bring chairs, blankets, etc… If you are concerned about ants being out, bring some spray.  They will accept cash and cards at the gate.

With the lightning and weather we anticipate a start time for the game tonight at around 7:30. Every lightning strike within 10 miles delays our game 30 minutes.

DON'T MISS OUT ON TODAY'S TAILGATE!!!

We are saddened to announce the passing of our high school science teacher, Jay Bundick, who left us this morning after falling ill over the past few weeks. Mr. Bundick has been a teacher in Italy for 8 years teaching chemistry, physics and integrated chemistry and physics. While he was resting last night, letters from our students were read to him expressing their genuine feelings of gratitude for teaching them, the joy he brought with his sense of humor and jokes, as well as being a consistent source of encouragement and support for them. Our love and prayers go out to his wife, Jennifer, and his family. The family will not be holding a service or visitation. Jay requested that his body be donated for science, which is a fitting tribute to his life and career.
