Senior Slideshow Photos Please provide 3-5 pictures of you in your youth. This can be baby pictures, little league sports pictures, or any type of photo you want included in your senior slideshow. If you could send them digitally to Mr. Glover through the Google Classroom assignment or email them to jglover@italyisd.org. If you have no way to make your pictures digital we can scan them in as a last resort. All photos that need to be scanned should be delivered in person to Mr. Glover in Room 307 before the due date of October 12, 2023.

PICTURE DAY IS COMING!!! We will be doing Individual pictures and group pictures all day on Monday, September 11, 2023. Below are the time slots that students will be called out of class to get their pictures taken. There are many students who will be pulled out throughout the day multiple times. I’m sorry for these disruptions. I will do my best to get the students photographed and back to class throughout the day. Individual Photos will be in the Old Gym during the day. Athletes and Extracurriculars ALL Group pictures will be in the dome. Please check with your coaches and advisors about what you need to wear for your group picture. Every group listed will take one picture i.e.: Varsity & JV Football will be in the same picture but with different uniforms. If you play both JV and Varsity you will wear the Varsity uniforms unless the coach tells you otherwise, if you play JV only you will wear the different color JV uniform. If you have any questions or concerns about the scheduling please let me know. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released a new Family Portal on the Texas Assessment website in January 2023. The Family Portal https://www.texasassessment.gov/ makes it easy for parents and guardians to access their child’s State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) results. It also shows each test question and how the student responded, as well as personalized resources to support learning at home. When you go the the district website and log-in to the Parent Portal, the Texas Assessments Link is on the lower left side of the student summary page, which is the same location that you have accessed before during registration and also to review report cards and progress reports.

2023-2024 Student Drug Testing Monday, July 31, 2023 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Italy High School Cafetorium Once again this school year,  Italy ISD is offering annual student drug testing as part of our comprehensive drug-testing program. Drug and alcohol abuse negatively affect a student’s safety, personal life, health, and academic performance. With parental consent, students in grades 7-12 who plan to participate in any school-sponsored extracurricular activities, as well as student drivers, are encouraged to participate. This program will consist of an initial annual drug test as well as random testing throughout the school year.  The Italy ISD School Board approved Drug Testing Guidelines and consent form can be found at this link:https://5il.co/20k6t All students planning to participate in ANY school-sponsored extracurricular activities, as well as student drivers, are encouraged to complete their drug testing on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the Italy High School Cafetorium.  Before a student enrolled in 7th-12th grade may participate in any school-sponsored extracurricular activities, receive a District parking permit, or drive on campus, both the student and the parent/guardian shall agree in writing that the student shall submit to the initial annual drug test and subsequent random tests in accordance with the attached guidelines.  Extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to Athletics, Band, Cheerleading, FFA, Civil Air Patrol, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, UIL One Act Play, and UIL academic competitions.

To all Italy ISD Headstart and PreK families, As we continue to work through plans and respond to situations arising from our Christmas flooding at Stafford, we have discovered additional classrooms that will be impacted by the repairs.  The Headstart and Prekindergarten classrooms will need to temporarily relocate. Central Baptist Church has graciously agreed to allow those classes to utilize their Family Life Center for the short period of time we anticipate needing to be out of our Stafford classrooms beginning January 5th. STUDENTS WILL CONTINUE TO BE DROPPED OFF IN THE MORNING AND PICKED UP IN THE AFTERNOON FROM STAFFORD.  Students will eat breakfast at Stafford. After breakfast, a bus will take them to Central Baptist Church.  Lunch will be delivered to them at Central Baptist by our Food Service department.  At the end of the day, students will be brought back to Stafford for regular dismissal procedures.  If you need to pick up your student during the school day, you MUST come to Stafford first to officially check them out of the office.  You will be provided a checkout pass to take to Central Baptist and present to the teacher.   STUDENTS WILL NOT BE RELEASED FROM CENTRAL BAPTIST WITHOUT A CHECKOUT PASS THAT WAS GIVEN FROM THE STAFFORD OFFICE!     Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and cooperation during this time.  It's just another example of our strong and supportive Italy ISD Family!!!

Attention Fire alarms at the high school were activated at approx. 11 AM. Current smoke tests of the sewer lines being conducted by the city caused the sensors to go off. Everyone is accounted for and safe.

Attention Italy ISD Jr High & High School Parents Monday, Aug 8, 2022, will be the LAST OPPORTUNITY FOR ONLINE REGISTRATION support for parents who are struggling with the registration process. Please come MONDAY, August 8, 2022 BEFORE Meet the Teacher/Walk the schedule if you have not completed this process. Registration support will begin at 5:00 pm. Meet the Teacher/Walk the schedule will begin at 6:30pm. Students MUST be registered online before they are able to pick up their schedule and their chromebook. Chromebook fees must be paid before receiving chromebook. Meet the Teacher/Walk the Schedule will begin at 6:30pm and end promptly at 7:30pm. Thank you!
